Guidebook for people with disabilites

This dependable handbook has been issued in Switzerland since 1996. Recently, it was thoroughly updated and is now available free of charge on the Internet. Comprehensive and available in Switzerland’s three national languages, the guide addresses all questions around disability law and legislation. An index provides easy access to the topic of interest. Each chapter ends with web links to the referenced legal texts.

“A disability – what to do?” is a useful guide for people with disabilities through the jungle of social legislation. Questions around medical treatment, education, work, housing, mobility, benefits and personal assistance are addressed in depth and illustrated with examples.

The new Adult Protection Law and the Federal Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against People with Disabilities are integrated in the guide.
